CHANDIGARH, 15.09.26-The Aesthesia Club of Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Sector 32-C, Chandigarh, organized a Poster Making Competition on “Raising Suicide Prevention Awareness” on 15th September, 2026 to promote mental health awareness and encourage meaningful conversations around suicide prevention through art.

Coordinated by Ms. Kirtika S. Kharayat and Dr. Rahul Singh, the competition saw enthusiastic participation from 33 students, whose artwork highlighted hope, resilience, emotional support, and the value of life with creativity and sensitivity.

The competition was judged by Dr. Ruchi Sharma, Dr. Jaswinder Kaur, and Mr. Harender Kumar. Winners were felicitated with certificates of appreciation for their creativity and impactful messages.

The event was well received and provided students with a meaningful platform to express, reflect, and raise awareness through art, while contributing to College’s efforts to foster openness and dialogue around mental health and emotional well-being. The initiative was conducted under the able guidance of Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal, GGDSD College, and Dr. Tarundeep Kaur, Head of the Aesthesia Club, whose encouragement and support contributed to its success.
