CHANDIGARH, 30.04.26-Justice Lisa Gill was sworn as the Chief Justice of the Andhra Pradesh High Court on 25.04.2026 in a ceremony led by the Governor S.Abdul Nazeer.

Justice Lisa Gill is the daughter of Justice Harphul Singh Brar ( Retd), who was Judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh from March 15, 1991 to July 29, 1999.

Her brother Shri Mandip Singh Brar, is an IAS officer of the 2005 batch ( Haryana Cadre), and is the current Home Secretary of Chandigarh Administration having been appointed in August 2024 for a three year term, and had previously served as Deputy Commissioner of Chandigarh from 2018 to 2021.

The oath taking ceremony was attended by several dignitaries and reputed lawyers including those from Chandigarh. Smt Anu Chatrath, Senior Advocate and Senior Additional Advocate General, Government of Punjab represented the State of Punjab at the oath taking ceremony of Justice Lisa Gill as Chief Justice, held at the Lok Bhavan in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh
