CHANDIGARH, 27.12.25-Enactus Panjab University, in collaboration with Zila Foundation, conducted a menstrual health awareness workshop in Ludhiana, focusing on adolescent sexual health and the importance of sustainable reusable sanitary napkins, conveyed Prof. Seema Kapoor, Faculty Advisor, Enactus Panjab University and President, CSC-WICCI, Chandigarh.
NGO Ashirwad was the venue partner, told Samardeep, Project Head, Enactus. Dr. Neelam Sodhi and Ms. Geetanjali Seth led interactive sessions with parents and adolescents on menstrual hygiene, sustainability and adolescent well-being. 200 reusable sanitary pads were distributed during the workshop donated by Versatile Enterprises Pvt. Ltd., Ludhiana under Project Amodini, informed Aryan Kamboj, Innovation Head.
In Amritsar, Enactus teams, along with community leaders Mrs. Jyoti Salwan and Ms. Seema, an Anganwadi worker, conducted door-to-door awareness sessions, addressed menstrual myths and distributed reusable pads under Projects Amodini and Uday, shared Ansh Maurya, Inventory and Logistics Head.
The initiative aimed to break taboos around menstruation and adolescent sexual health through community education, added Anjali Dixit.
Enthusiastic participation across Ludhiana and Amritsar reaffirmed Enactus Panjab University’s commitment to dignity, empowerment, and sustainable change, said Prof. Kapoor.
