*The foundation stone for a state-of-the-art International Hostel at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana, was laid by Dr. M.L. Jat, Director General, Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and Secretary, DARE, Government of India. *Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice Chancellor, extended a warm welcome to the Chief Guest and highlighted the University’s commitment for providing world-class facilities to international students while fostering multicultural exchange and academic excellence.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr. JPS Gill, Vice Chancellor.

Dr J.P.S. Gill, Vice Chancellor of the University stated that such continuous professional development programs and adherence to high academic standards are essential for quality educational and institutional growth

Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor, stated: “Balanced nutrition is the cornerstone of dairy productivity, directly influencing milk yield, quality, and animal health".

Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor congratulated the team and emphasized that One Health is essential for building a healthier and more sustainable future.

The event was graced by Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Agricultural University as the Chief Guest and Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor, Vet Varsity as the Guest of Honour. Dr. R.S. Grewal, Director of Extension Education and other officers of the university also graced the occasion.

Dr. JPS Gill, Vice-Chancellor and Dean College of Veterinary Science and Director of Clinics guided the Animal Disease Research Centre of University to conduct these camps.

Dr JPS Gill, Vice Chancellor applauded the efforts of Center for One Health for capacity building and being the front runners in the state regarding scientific efforts for prevention and control of zoonotic diseases.

These awards were conferred in an impressive function by S. Harchand Singh Barsat, Chairman, Punjab Mandi Board in the Vet Varsity Mela Ground.

Dr Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor shared that the mela is drawing farmers and stakeholders from neighbouring states as well.

Under this initiative, Sh. Jasveer Singh from village Hamidi has emerged as a role model in value addition of milk products after successfully setting up a dairy processing plant.

The program concluded on a high note with a visionary address of Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice Chancellor and officers of the university, instilling confidence and enthusiasm among the students to pursue their higher education with discipline and excellence.
