The event was graced by Dr. Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Agricultural University as the Chief Guest and Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice-Chancellor, Vet Varsity as the Guest of Honour. Dr. R.S. Grewal, Director of Extension Education and other officers of the university also graced the occasion.

Dr. JPS Gill, Vice-Chancellor and Dean College of Veterinary Science and Director of Clinics guided the Animal Disease Research Centre of University to conduct these camps.

Dr JPS Gill, Vice Chancellor applauded the efforts of Center for One Health for capacity building and being the front runners in the state regarding scientific efforts for prevention and control of zoonotic diseases.

These awards were conferred in an impressive function by S. Harchand Singh Barsat, Chairman, Punjab Mandi Board in the Vet Varsity Mela Ground.

The Pashu Palan Mela of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana was inaugurated by S. Harchand Singh Barsat, Chairman, Punjab Mandi Board.

Dr Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor shared that the mela is drawing farmers and stakeholders from neighbouring states as well.

Under this initiative, Sh. Jasveer Singh from village Hamidi has emerged as a role model in value addition of milk products after successfully setting up a dairy processing plant.

The program concluded on a high note with a visionary address of Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice Chancellor and officers of the university, instilling confidence and enthusiasm among the students to pursue their higher education with discipline and excellence.

Presiding over the valedictory function, Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice Chancellor emphasized that the university remains committed to empowering livestock farmers by delivering scientific knowledge, skill-based training and practical solutions.

Adds another feather in the cap for operationalizing cutting-edge expertise to Palampur

On the occasion, Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice Chancellor, emphasized that this collaboration will enhance cattle genetics, improve milk productivity, and provide farmers with cost-effective, high-quality germplasm. He added that the initiative will establish a sustainable livestock growth model wherein farmers contribute to the genetic pool and reap benefits from improved progeny.

Commenting on the event Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor said that keeping the university ragging free is our priority.
