Chandigarh,30.01.19-Rachit, a Class IX student of Govt Model Senior Secondary School, Sector-20, represented the National Cadet Corps Air Wing in Junior division at the Republic Day Parade in the presence of Prime MinisterNarendraModi.Rachitis the only junior Division Cadet from Chandigarh and aspires to become a Fighter Pilot in Indian Air Force.

Before RDC the cadet has to face many Inter unit and Inter-Group Competitions for which the training at unit level starts from the month of September itself.NCC Republic Day Camp is the culmination of all NCC Training activities, said Wing Commander Srinivas, Training Officer, Chandigarh Airwing NCC.

RDC is held at Garrison Parade Ground, Delhi Cantt. from 01 to 29 Jan. 1850 Selected NCC Cadets from 17 directorates attend the Camp. The Camp is inaugurated by the Vice President of India and culminates with Prime Minister's Rally.During the camp visit of Raksha Mantri, Cabinet Ministers, Chief Minister of Delhi, three Service Chiefs and various State Ministers/VIPs are also organized said Group Captain M R Pandeya, Commanding Officer, No. 1 Chandigarh Air wing NCC.
