CHANDIGARH,22.03.24-Pawan Bansal, a former Member of Parliament and senior Congress leader , has stated that the Congress will find a permanent solution to the issues faced by government employees in Chandigarh. He expressed astonishment over the fact that in the past 10 years, the BJP government did not take any steps to resolve the problems of government employees in Chandigarh. He mentioned that not only are new job opportunities scarce in Chandigarh, but even job security is not being provided to the city's employees. Issues like the self-housing scheme remain unresolved, despite the BJP making promises to address them in their manifestos of 2014 and 2019.
"On one hand, there are demands from regular city employees, and on the other hand, contractual employees, whom the BJP government has failed to provide job security to. The policy of equal work, equal pay has also not been implemented. Youth are unemployed, with no plans from the BJP for their employment, leading them into the world of addiction and crime."
Pawan Bansal stated that the Congress reassures the people of Chandigarh that the Congress party will solve all the problems faced by employees.

Despite the Election Commission's action against the BJP for violating the Model Code of Conduct by continuing the trend of putting up nameplates they are time and again fixing plates said former MP and senior Congress leader Pawan Bansal. Bansal said that just putting up Modi's nameplates won't turn anyone into a part of Modi's family. He questioned why, if the BJP wanted to win the hearts of the people of Chandigarh, they didn't undertake any development work in the past 10 years that would have naturally endeared people to the party.
"I want to ask the BJP, are the policies being made to take away the jobs of contractual employees, send notices for demolition and vandalism on people's homes, who are the unemployed youth wandering around, or the people living in Chandigarh's villages who are craving basic amenities, are they not part of Modi's family?"
Pawan Bansal stated that the countdown for the BJP has begun, and it will be clear on June 4th

बंसल ने आगे बताया कि भाजपा की शह पर इनकम टैक्स डिपार्टमेंट द्वारा कांग्रेस के खिलाफ उठाया गया कदम 'आपराधिक कार्रवाई' है और भारत के दुनिया का सबसे बड़ा लोकतंत्र होने का विचार झूठ है क्योंकि कोई लोकतंत्र नहीं बचा है। चुनाव आयोग तथा अदालतों के साथ कांग्रेस नेता ने स्वतंत्र और निष्पक्ष संस्थाओं की चुप्पी की ओर इशारा करते हुए कहा कि जिनसे लोकतांत्रिक ढांचे की रक्षा करने की अपेक्षा की जाती है वे कुछ करती नहीं दिख रही हैं।
