CHANDIGARH,10.05.22-Shri Raghunath B. has taken over as the Chief General Manager, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) of Punjab Regional Office and Chandigarh from 09^th May 2022. He is a graduate in Commerce & Law and completed Leadership Development Programme from Harvard.

Shri Raghunath B. has vast experience of working in various States viz. Tamilnadu, Kerla Bihar, UP and NABARD HO, Mumbai in different capacities. He has played important role in Credit Planning for priorty sector, Infrastructure Financing, Project Appraisal and Financing, Bank Supervision and Human Resource Development.

He indicated that priorities of NABARD in the state would be supporting rural infrastructure through RIDF and other funds, strengthening of rural cooperative banks, computerisation and transformation of PACS as MSC, organising farmers into Farmers Producers Organisations (FPO), promotion of micro enterprises through skill development of rural youth, credit intensification in rural areas through KCC, JLG and SHGs and support sustainable farming.
