CHANDIGARH-30.03.22- : Taking a step towards social work, State Bank of India'Daria branch has installed a 4 KW Grid Tied Rooftop Solar PV Plant at Maharishi Dayanand Public School, Dariya, Chandigarh.

It was inaugurated by Mrs. Ani Kamdi, Assistant General Manager, State Bank of India. During the program, she said that the State Bank of India always participates in social work. This bank always extends its hand to help the common and needy public. She praised Maharishi Dayanand Public School for promoting education in rural areas and said that State Bank of India has been a pioneer in helping such schools. She said that the bank has played a positive role for the uplift of the economically weaker sections. There are many such schemes of the bank which prove that the State Bank of India actively participates in public welfare work.

Appreciating the State Bank of India, Principal of the school, Dr. Vinod Sharma said that the bank is helping the needy people. He expressed his gratitude to State Bank of India for installing a roof top tied solar plant in the school. He said that now there will be no electricity problem in the school. All the students will study uninterruptedly. Chief Manager Ashwani Sehgal and Ms. Ritu Puri, Branch Manager, Daria branch of State Bank of India were also present on the occasion.
