Chandigarh, February 03, 2022

To encourage people’s participation in the fight against COVID-19, Regional Outreach Bureau (ROB) Chandigarh under Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India in collaboration with District Administration, Panchkula today launched a Mobile awareness campaign in District Panchkula.

Sh. Mahavir Kaushik, Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula launched the 3-day campaign with flagging off the mobile van on Covid Vaccination & Appropriate Behaviour from the DC office premises. Sh. Kaushik appreciated the efforts of the Ministry to spread awareness of the much needed precautions & vaccination of the adolescent between 15-18 of age group.

The focus of campaign is 'Har Ghar Dastak' for Covid vaccination, especially of the 15-18 age group and precautionary dose to the 60+ age group. It will also reiterate the key message of “wearing a mask, washing hands and follow social distancing by practicing “Do Gajki Doori”. All these messages are displayed in the mobile Van alongwith playing recorded messages on Covid awareness.

During 3-days the Covid Awareness Van will cover different rural areas, colonies, sectors, residential areas & markets of District Panchkukla. The rural areas of Barwala, Pinjore & Raipur Rani Blocks will also be the focus areas during the campaign.

A Vaccination camp in collaboration with the Civil Surgeon Office, Panchkula will be organised in the Government Sr. Sec. School, Sector -15, Panchkula on February 04, 2022 for the students between 15-18 of age group.

On the occasion, a theme-based cultural programme including a Nukkad Natak will also be organised to disseminate information. A quiz contest will be conducted to sensitise the students on Covid protocol & vaccination.
