Chandigarh: 28^th January 2022:The 73^rd Republic Day was celebrated in the premises of State bank of India’s Chandigarh Head Office with great éclat, fervour and enthusiasm following government guidelines and safety measures for prevention of COVID-19.

Sh. Anukool Bhatnagar, Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Local Head Office Chandigarh hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Sh. Chander Shekhar Sharma, General Manager (NW-II), Sh. Ajay Kumar Jha General Manager (NW-III) and other senior officials.

Sh. Bhatnagar shared in his address that this year’s republic day is special as the country also celebrates ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ marking 75 years of our Independence. He paid rich tributes to the Freedom Fighters and saluted the Armed Forces of our nation and the efforts of Corona warriors who are fighting for saving the lives of the people.

Tricolour balloons were also released in the sky as symbol of peace, prosperity and valour of our country. The premises reverberated with patriotic music by choir songs performed on the occasion. The joyful event ended with the distribution of sweets.
