Delegation of Orchardists Association meets Horticulture Minister

  • Government eases payment process for Apple MIS Season-2025

A delegation of the Orchardists’ Association, led by its President Harish Chauhan, today here called on the Horticulture Minister Jagat Singh Negi. The delegation apprised the Minister of issues and concerns related to the payment process under the Market Intervention Scheme (MIS) for the Apple Season-2025.

Jagat Singh Negi assured the orchardists that the matter would be examined in detail in consultation with the concerned departmental officers, based on facts and ground realities. He said that keeping in view the interests of orchardists, field conditions and administrative convenience, the State Government has issued a revised notification amending the guidelines related to cash and kind payments on the basis of fruit receipts issued by HPMC during the Apple MIS Season-2025.

As per the revised notification, revenue records (Khata-Khatouni) will now be collected only from those orchardists who possess fruit receipts for more than 100 bags of apples under MIS Season-2025. In all other cases, the existing rules and conditions shall continue to apply.

The Minister said that the state government have taken this decision to facilitate orchardists and to reduce unnecessary documentation formalities and to ensure that the payment process remains transparent, simple and time-bound.
