Three persons arrested in Arms Act.

Chandigarh Police arrested Dharminder R/o # Near Madrasi Park, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh and Sahil R/o Housing Board Bus Stop, Mani Majra, Chandigarh from near public toilet back side showroom Sector-26 Chandigarh on 07-01-2025 and recovered two knives from their possession. A Case FIR No. 01 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Sector-26 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Karan @ Danny R/o # 65 Haibatpur Road, Dera Bassi, Punjab from near Bus Stop Vikas Nagar Mauli Jagran Chandigarh on 07-01-2026 and recovered a kamanidar knife from his possession. A Case FIR No. 09 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station mauli Jagran Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Three persons arrested in Gambling Act.

Chandigarh Police arrested Rakesh @ Biru R/o # 1760, Dmc, Chandigarh,Urvinder Singh R/o # 558/2, Sector-40-A Chandigarh and Vinod Kumar R/o # 2433, DMC, Chandigarh from Near Civil Dispensary, Dadu Majra Colony Chandigarh on 07-01-2026 while gambling and recovered cash Rs. 1720/- and playing cards from their possession. A Case FIR No. 05 U/S 13-3-67 Gambling Act has been registered in Police Station Maloya Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.

Theft

A case FIR No. 02 U/S 303(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector-17 Chandigarh on the complaint of Sanjay Goel R/o # B-2-151, Appo-Aap Street, Nabha Punjab against unknown person who stole away two bag containing cash Rs 25,000/-, Dell Laptop, D/L, Credit Card, Debit Card, Forex Card, Aadhar Card, Documents, Ear Phone, Charger and book from complainant’s innova car no. PB-11 CM-0036 while parked near Empire Store Sector-17 Chandigarh after broken window glass. Investigation of this case is in progress.
