Jalandhar, 05.07.25: Following a remarkable 44.44 percent growth in Punjab's Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection, Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha and esteemed Chancellor of Lovely Professional University, extended his heartfelt congratulations to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.

The AamAadmi Party (AAP) MP lauded the achievement, stating that the significant increase in GST revenue is a testament to the burgeoning prosperity of Punjab and the increasing purchasing power of its people.

"The 44.44 percent rise in GST is an outcome of a prosperous Punjab, where people are buying more, leading to more sales and thereby GST Collection. This is at the core of CM Bhagwant Mann's vision of a 'Rangla Punjab'," Dr. Mittal remarked.

Punjab's net GST collection for June 2025 reached a historic Rs 2,379.90 crore. This figure represents an impressive 44.44 percent growth when compared to the Rs 1,647.69 crore collected in June 2024. This substantial surge in revenue highlights the robust economic activity within the state.

Dr. Mittal further emphasized that this growth not only surpasses the national average but also positions Punjab among the top-performing states in tax mobilization, reflecting the government's effective fiscal management and the public's active participation in the state's economic development.
