MAHENDERGARH, 04.07.25-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh has taken a significant step forward in empowering the youth for global leadership in economic and technical spheres by implementing the guidelines of the National Credit Framework (NCrF) and National Higher Education Qualifications Framework (NHEQF). The University has implemented these frameworks in already running National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 aligned undergraduate and postgraduate programmes from the academic session 2025–26, as approved in the 40th meeting of the Academic Council held on 30th June, 2025.

Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of the University said that these developments have positioned the University at the forefront of NEP-2020 implementation in sync with NCrF & NHEQF. Mapping of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the offered courses is another milestone achieved. He emphasized that the changes will promote innovation and enhance the productivity and utility of the workforce not only at the national but also at the global level.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar also said that the restructured programmes are now in tune with the Indian Knowledge System and Sustainable Development Goals as core elements. With the implementation of the new academic structure, students will benefit from features such as the Academic Bank of Credits, Multiple Entry and Exit Options, and opportunities for interdisciplinary and experiential learning. The new curriculum approved by the Academic Council offers students academic learning along with skill development, vocational and practical training, as well as industry-relevant professional exposure.
Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pro-Vice Chancellor said that CUH has become the leading university in India to fully implement the NCrF and NHEQF guidelines. He further noted that these reforms will pave the way for a holistic blend of academic and professional skills among students, ensuring their readiness for future challenges.
