Action against Public Path Obstruction
Police Station Maloya has registered six (6) FIRs under Section 285 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against individuals for causing obstruction to public paths by installing rehris/pheris at various locations. Six individuals—Surender (35) of Dhanas, Mushahid (30) and Shiv Kumar (30) of Sector-52, Nand Kishor Kumar (40) of Kajheri, Babu (22) of Maloya, and Ashish (35) of Maloya Colony—were booked under Section 285 BNS for obstructing public paths by installing rehris at various locations in Maloya and Kajheri. All were arrested on the spot and later released on bail. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Cheating
A Case FIR No. 76 u/s 319(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2), 61(2) of BNS has been registered at Cyber Police Station on the complaint of lady resident of Sector 44 against unknown person(s) who cheated the complainant of ₹6,13,200 after falling prey to a fake Know Your Customer (KYC) update call. The investigation of this case is in process.
A Case FIR No. 102 u/s 318(4), 61(2) of BNS and Section 24 of the Immigration Act has been registered at Police Station-17 on the complaint of Parwinder Singh, resident of Patiala, Punjab against Shiv Kumar, and others of Eye Visa Consultant, SCO No. 1096-1097, 2nd Floor, Sector-22/B, who allegedly cheated the complainant of ₹5,90,000 on the promise of arranging work visa for Australia. Accident
A Case FIR No. 103 u/s 281, 125(A) of BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 17 on the complaint of Tanaka Bahadur KC, resident of Sector-23/C against Asim Mehra, resident of Sector-23/A, who was driving Activa No. HR03 K 8225. He allegedly hit the complainant’s wife, Priya KC, a pedestrian near the Post Office, Sector 23/A, on 28-06-2025 at about 7:45 PM. The victim was admitted to PGI with injuries. The investigation of this case is in process.
A Case FIR No. 152 u/s 281, 125(A) of BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 36 on the complaint of Deepak, resident of Small Flats, Dhanas, aged 21 years, against Paraspreet Singh, resident of Sector-40, the driver of i10 car No. HR29 AH 4275. He allegedly hit complainant’s motorcycle CH01 CW 8863 near Kajheri Chowk Slip Road on 27-06-2025 at about 10:45 AM, injuring both Deepak and his mother Reema Devi, who was later referred to PGI. The investigation of this case is in process.
Theft
A Case FIR No. 96 u/s 305(A), 331(4), 3(5) of BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector 34 on the complaint of Gobinder Singh, resident of Sector-44C against unknown person(s) for stealing 30 grams of gold ornaments (2 pairs of earrings, 1 chain, 2 rings), 40 grams of silver articles, 3 watches, and ₹10,000 in cash from the complainant’s residence on 18-06-2025.
