Chandigarh, July 16- Haryana Health Minister, Ms. Arti Singh Rao said that July 17 will be a landmark day for the state's development and the expansion of public services. During his upcoming visit, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi will inaugurate several major development projects for the people of Haryana, aimed at strengthening healthcare services and modern infrastructure. The projects include the launch of India's first hydrogen-powered train on the Jind–Sonipat railway section, as well as the inauguration of the long-awaited Bhiwani Medical College and Koriawas Medical College in Mahendragarh, which are expected to significantly enhance healthcare access in South Haryana.

The Health Minister said that the Central and State Governments are jointly working to implement welfare-oriented initiatives and improve public infrastructure across the state. She said that the opening of the new medical colleges in Bhiwani and Koriawas will enable residents to access quality healthcare closer to home, reducing the need to travel to larger cities for treatment and saving both time and money. The institutions will also create better opportunities for local students pursuing medical education.

Describing the visit as historic from both environmental and technological perspectives, Ms. Arti Singh Rao said that the commencement of India's first hydrogen fuel-powered train service on the Jind–Sonipat route is a matter of pride for the entire nation. Chandigarh, July 16: The Haryana Government has appointed Link Officers for the post of Deputy CEO, Mewat Development Agency, Nuh, to ensure the smooth functioning of official work during the absence of the concerned officer.

As per the order issued by the Chief Secretary's Office, the City Magistrate, Nuh, has been designated as Link Officer-I, while the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Nuh, will function as Link Officer-II.

The Link Officers will look after the official work in the event of the officer being on leave, training, tour or election duty, as well as in case of vacancy arising due to transfer, retirement or any other reason.

The order further states that the concerned officer shall be duty-bound to inform the designated Link Officers before proceeding on leave, training, tour or election duty.

Chandigarh, July 16: Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday visited Jind and reviewed the preparations and arrangements for Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi’s proposed programme on Friday, during which he will flag off India’s first hydrogen train from Jind.

The Chief Minister said that all programmes of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi to be held in Jind would be completely eco-friendly. Public Works Minister Sh. Ranbir Singh Gangwa, Deputy Speaker of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Dr. Krishan Lal Middha, BJP State President Dr. Archana Gupta, Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sh. Arun Kumar Gupta, Director General of Police Sh. Ajay Singhal, Commissioner and Secretary, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, Director General Sh. K.M. Pandurang and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Vaishali Sharma, among several other senior officers, were also present on the occasion.

Chief Minister Sh. Nayab Singh Saini visited Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University in Jind on Thursday. There, he sought information from the officers regarding the arrangements for all the programmes of the Prime Minister to be held in Jind. Thereafter, the Chief Minister reached Jind Railway Station and reviewed the preparations related to the launch of the hydrogen train. He also issued necessary directions to the officers regarding the arrangements. He inspected the entry arrangements for the general public and VIPs, the executive lounge, cafeteria and railway track, and took stock of the facilities being provided to passengers.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister reviewed the preparations for the ‘Viksit Bharat–Viksit Haryana’ rally to be held at the Haryana Urban Development Authority ground opposite Eklavya Stadium. He reviewed the seating arrangements for the general public, parking arrangements and the facilities being prepared for the public. He directed the officials to ensure that people attending the rally do not face any inconvenience regarding drinking water and other amenities.

Hansi MLA Sh. Vinod Bhayana, former BJP State President Sh. Mohan Lal Kaushik, Vice-Chancellor of Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University Dr. Rampal Saini, BJP leader Sh. Apply online by August 3 for 50 percent subsidy on crop residue management machine

Chandigarh, July 16- The Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department has invited online applications from farmers under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) 2026–27 for availing a 50 percent subsidy on crop residue management machine. The last date to apply is August 3, 2026.

Sharing information in this regard, an official spokesperson said thaṭ the scheme offers farmers an opportunity to purchase crop residue management machines at a 50 percent subsidy to promote sustainable farming practices.

The spokesperson said the initiative aims to reduce incidents of stubble burning and curb air pollution by encouraging the use of modern agricultural machinery. Under the scheme, a 50 percent subsidy will be provided on equipment such as Super SMS, Happy Seeder, Super Seeder, Straw Chopper/Shredder/Mulcher, Reversible MB Plough, Zero Till Seed Drill, Straw Baler, Rake, Crop Reaper, Tractor-Mounted Loader, and Tractor-Operated Tender Machine, among others.

Interested farmers can submit their applications online through the Agri Haryana portal (agriharyana.gov.in) by August 3, 2026. Registration on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal is mandatory for applying under the scheme. Applicants will also be required to upload their Parivar Pehchan Patra, Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, bank account details, valid tractor registration certificate (RC), and other necessary documents. Farmers belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) category must also submit a valid caste certificate.

The spokesperson further said that applicants must provide an affidavit declaring that they will not burn crop residue in their fields and that no member of their family has availed a subsidy for the same agricultural machine during the past three years. Under the individual category, each farmer can apply for only one agricultural machine. However, farmers selected for a Straw Baler may also receive a subsidy for a Rake, Straw Rake, or Shredder Master/Rotary Slasher machine.

Selected farmers will be required to submit the prescribed documents to the office of the Assistant Agricultural Engineer in their respective districts within the stipulated timeframe. After verification, online permits will be issued. Once the permit is granted, farmers must purchase the approved machinery from a department-authorised manufacturer or dealer by September 7, 2026, and upload the invoice, e-way bill, GPS location, and other required documents on the portal. Farmers placed on the waiting list will be issued permits later, subject to availability.

The spokesperson added that agricultural machinery manufacturers can also register online under the scheme through the Agri Haryana portal. Manufacturers approved during 2025–26 whose test reports remain valid for the current year will not be required to apply again.
