Mohali, Feb 4th-Aryans Institute of Nursing, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura organized an awareness programme on World Cancer Day under the theme “United by Unique,” with the objective of promoting cancer awareness, prevention, early detection, and timely treatment among students and staff.

The keynote session was delivered by Dr. Jatinder Pal Kaur, Senior Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Advanced Gynae Laparoscopic Surgeon, Infertility & IVF Specialist and Ex Senior Registrar, AIIMS New Delhi.

Dr. Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, in his address said that awareness is the strongest weapon against cancer. He emphasized that educational institutions have a crucial role in sensitizing youth towards preventive healthcare and early detection. He further stated that Aryans Group of Colleges will continue to organize such awareness programmes to contribute meaningfully towards building a healthier society.

Nidhi Chopra Principal Aryans Institute of Nursing also highlighted the rising incidence of cancer, especially among women, and stressed the importance of healthy lifestyle choices, regular screening, and early diagnosis in improving survival rates.

The programme witnessed active participation from students and faculty members, followed by an interactive question–answer session. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming Aryans Group of Colleges’ commitment to promoting public health awareness and social responsibility.
