*Ambala Cantonment Industrial Area Water Drainage Top Priority- Energy, Transport & Labour Minister Anil Vij*

Chandigarh, September 7: Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij has directed officers to ensure immediate drainage of floodwater from the Ambala Cantonment Industrial Area. Stressing that the matter is his top priority, he instructed the concerned authorities to deploy pumps and make all necessary arrangements without delay.

Taking serious note of the situation, Sh. Vij directed to Additional Chief Secretary of Irrigation & Water Resources, Sh. Anurag Agarwal and Deputy Commissioner of Ambala, Sh. Ajay Tomar, to take swift action. Earlier in the day, several entrepreneurs from the Industrial Area had approached the Minister at his residence, seeking urgent intervention for water drainage.

Sh. Vij emphasized, “The entire city depends on the entrepreneurs of Ambala Cantonment Industrial Area. These industries have been built with years of dedication, and I have seen their growth since my childhood. Excess water is disrupting industries, and immediate steps must be taken to drain it.” He instructed SDM Ambala Cantonment, Sh. Vinesh Kumar, to oversee prompt action on-site. He also directed the Municipal Council Executive Officer to procure pumps from wherever required to ensure water drainage at the earliest.

Entrepreneurs further highlighted concerns that certain miscreants might obstruct the drainage work. Responding promptly, the Minister instructed the SHO of Mahesh Nagar Police Station to deploy a police team on-site until the drainage process is fully completed. Sh. Vij reiterated that expeditious drainage of water from the Industrial Area remains his foremost priority.

Entrepreneurs, including Ashavant Gupta, Kapil Verma, Subhash Dhiman, Sanjeev Ahuja, Subhash Mittal, Kamaljit Jain, Vaibhav Kakkad, Suresh Dhiman, Mishal Dhiman, Yogesh Bhasin, and Sumit Jain, lauded Minister Anil Vij’s proactive approach. They said, “Whenever the Ambala Cantonment Industrial Area has faced adversity, Minister Anil Vij has always stood firmly with us. He has been with us day and night in our difficult times, they asserted.”
