PPSC’s Self-Clean Chit is an Eyewash to Shield Political Masters’: Kewal Singh Dhillon

Dhillon Rejects Clarification on PCS Mains, Links It to Massive Pharmacist Recruitment Scam

BJP reiterates demand for an HC-monitored CBI inquiry, forensic audit of CCTV/answer sheets, and an immediate freeze on PCS interviews

Chandigarh, November 6-Punjab BJP State President Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon today rejected the Punjab Public Service Commission’s (PPSC) clarification regarding the controversial PCS (Mains) examination results, terming it a shameless "self-clean chit" designed to shield influential political patrons. Dhillon asserted that the AAP government’s recruitment machinery has been completely compromised, turning competitive exams into systematic rackets where merit is sacrificed.

Responding to the PPSC Chairman’s statement dismissing irregularities as "statistical misinterpretations," Dhillon pointed out that an agency facing grave allegations cannot sit in judgment of its own conduct.

"How can the accused become the judge? The PPSC’s internal justification is nothing but an orchestrated cover-up," Dhillon remarked. "No amount of mathematical jugglery can convince the youth of Punjab that 10 to 11 candidates clearing from a single examination hall and clusters of consecutive roll numbers qualifying in a subjective, descriptive exam like PCS Mains is mere coincidence. Why is the commission afraid of an independent forensic audit if everything was above board?"

Connecting the PCS controversy to the broader crisis of recruitment integrity in the state, Dhillon reminded Chief Minister of the scandalous Pharmacy Officer (Pharmacist) recruitment examination, where an organized interstate cheating racket involving wireless spy devices, hidden pen cameras, and real-time dictation was busted, leading to dozens of arrests and subsequent High Court intervention.

"First, it was the Pharmacist recruitment exam, where government jobs were virtually put on sale with high-tech cheating devices and paper-leak mafias running rampant. Now, Punjab’s premier civil services examination has been tainted with identical suspicion. This is not an isolated lapse; it is a recurring pattern of corruption under the Aam Aadmi Party regime that has shattered the trust of lakhs of hardworking, educated youth. The Mann government’s tall claims of zero tolerance and merit-based recruitment lie exposed as a monumental fraud."

The Punjab BJP Chief reiterated the party’s unwavering demands:
Immediate Stay on Interviews: Put the disputed PCS (Mains) selection process and scheduled interviews on immediate hold until an impartial inquiry is concluded.
High Court-Monitored CBI Probe: Hand over both the PCS Mains irregularities and the recruitment scandals, including the Pharmacist recruitment scam, to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) under the direct supervision of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
Public Release of Examination Data: Make all centre-wise CCTV footage, biometric timestamps, invigilator seating records, and evaluated answer sheets accessible for independent forensic examination.
Dhillon declared that the BJP will not allow the Aap government to play with the future of Punjab's youth, warning that if the government fails to halt the compromised recruitment process, the party will take to the streets alongside aggrieved aspirants to demand justice.

AAP Government's Double Standards on Central Probe Agencies Fully Exposed: Vijay Sampla

Chandigarh, November 6-Former State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party and former Union Minister Vijay Sampla stated that the AAP-led Punjab Government's double standards regarding central investigative agencies have been thoroughly exposed. He pointed out that whenever the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducts raids concerning corruption cases in Punjab, AAP leaders stage protests and demonstrations in opposition; however, when it comes to their political opponents, the very same government itself writes letters urging the ED to step in and investigate.

In a press statement issued from the party office in Chandigarh, Vijay Sampla noted that after the Punjab Vigilance Bureau presented a 40,000-page chargesheet against Bikram Singh Majithia in a disproportionate assets case, the Punjab Government's subsequent letter urging the ED to register an FIR and initiate an investigation raises serious questions. He said that on one hand, the party vehemently opposes the ED's actions by labelling them political vendetta, while on the other, it actively seeks an investigation from that exact agency to suit its political convenience.

Confronting Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and the AAP leadership—who had created an outcry following the ED raid at the residence of AAP MLA Dr. Amandeep Kaur Arora in Moga—Vijay Sampla questioned why the Vigilance Bureau was writing letters to the ED in the Majithia case if the agency's investigations were genuinely biased.

Sampla further recalled that when the ED repeatedly wrote letters asking Punjab Police to register an FIR regarding alleged corruption against the Chief Minister’s OSD Rajveer Ghuman and his associates, the AAP government dismissed the CBI and ED proceedings as BJP-driven political vendetta. He asked what intent the state government now harbours by unilaterally writing to the ED seeking a probe in Bikram Majithia’s case. Undoubtedly, he concluded, this brazenly puts the party's hypocritical character on full display.

Water Cannons Used Against Computer Teachers in Sangrur Is Highly Condemnable: Anil Sarin

Chandigarh, November 6:Anil Sarin, State General Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Punjab, strongly condemned the Punjab Police for using water cannons against computer teachers who were peacefully marching to Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s residence in Sangrur.

He said that the teachers have been staging an indefinite protest outside the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Sangrur for the past 48 days, demanding that their legitimate grievances be addressed and their rightful dues be granted.

Anil Sarin pointed out that despite the issuance of a regularisation notification and appointment letters, the teachers continue to be denied their rightful benefits. The government has forced them to take to the streets to fight for their rights. While families across Punjab are preparing to celebrate the festive occasion of Diwali, these teachers have been left with no choice but to observe a 'Black Diwali'.

"Is this the change that the Aam Aadmi Party promised? A government that cannot respect its teachers cannot be expected to secure the future of Punjab," he said.

He demanded the immediate acceptance of all the legitimate demands of the computer teachers and reiterated that the BJP stands firmly with them in their struggle for justice.

Anil Sarin warned that if the government continues with its rigid and insensitive approach, the BJP will take to the streets in support of the teachers and launch a strong agitation to ensure that their voices are heard.
