MAHENDERGARH, 07.10.26-Twenty-two Class 12 students of Yaduvanshi Shiksha Niketan, Mahendergarh, visited the Department of Biotechnology, Central University of Haryana (CUH), as part of an educational exposure visit aimed at providing practical insights into modern biotechnology and laboratory techniques.

The students, accompanied by their teachers Mr. Vinod Yadav and Mr. Prabhat Arora, received hands-on training and demonstrations on DNA isolation techniques. They were introduced to the basic principles of DNA isolation and learned about the conduct of molecular biology experiments in a research laboratory. The students also explored various laboratory instruments and equipment used in biotechnology research.

The visit was coordinated by Prof. Rupesh Deshmukh, Head, Department of Biotechnology, and Dr. Humira Sonah, Associate Professor, who interacted with the students and encouraged them to pursue scientific research and higher education in biotechnology and related fields.

CUH research scholars Akash Maurya, Pragati Singh, Vaibhav Yadav and Usha assisted in the practical demonstrations and guided the students through the experimental procedures. The interactive sessions enabled the students to connect their classroom learning with practical applications in biotechnology, genetics and molecular biology.

The students expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity to experience university-level laboratory work and appreciated the exposure to advanced biotechnology facilities. The visit provided them with valuable practical knowledge and encouraged them to explore future opportunities in science and research.
