CHANDIGARH, 01.10.26-A national CME and hands-on workshop, Allied 3600, was held at PGIMER Chandigarh, bringing together 30 expert faculty members from across India under one roof to train 100 operation theatre technicians and paramedics from different parts of the country. The programme combined academic sessions with practical, skill-based training. The initiative aims to build a tech-driven, safer and citizen-centric healthcare ecosystem, in which skilled allied health professionals, supported by modern technology and standardised practices, deliver quality care to every citizen.

The programme was graced by Prof. Sonu Goel, State Convener (Punjab, Himachal Pradesh & Chandigarh), NAMS, along with Prof. Ashok Kumar, Medical Superintendent and Prof. Sanjay Jain Dean Academics, PGIMER. Speakers emphasised that skilled technicians and paramedics are essential to patient safety and quality care.

Prof. Ashok Kumar said, "Allied healthcare professionals are the silent strength of our health system. Investing in their skills means investing in patient safety and quality care."

The CME and workshop was organised under the guidance of Prof. Jeetinder Makkar, Organising Secretary, with Dr. Soumya Sarkar as coordinator. Participants appreciated the well-structured sessions and practical exposure.
