Chandigarh, August 31, 2026:With the objective of making the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan-2026, to be organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party Chandigarh Pradesh from September 17 to October 17, 2026, comprehensive, effective and successful across Chandigarh, a state-level workshop was organised at the BJP Chandigarh Pradesh Office ‘Kamal Kamal’, Sector-33, Chandigarh, under the chairmanship of Pradesh President Jatinder Pal Malhotra. Detailed discussions were held regarding the campaign’s comprehensive framework, organisational preparations and the effective implementation of various programmes with state- and district-level office-bearers.
Kuljeet Singh Chahal, National Convenor, NaMo App, attended the workshop as the Chief Guest. Addressing the workers, he elaborated on the spirit and objectives of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan and the role of the organisation. He said that through service activities, the organisation directly connects with various sections of society and strengthens the spirit of public welfare. He also guided the workers on making organisational activities and public outreach more effective through the NaMo App. He called upon the workers to use digital platforms to take the campaign’s activities, achievements and public-oriented initiatives to the people on a wider scale. Chandigarh Mayor Saurabh Joshi was also present at the programme.
In view of the extensive scope of the campaign, the convenors and co-convenors of 11 major programmes were specially present at the workshop. Detailed discussions were held regarding the responsibilities of all the programmes, their action plans, the process of organising them, and coordination from the Pradesh level to the district, mandal and booth levels. Necessary guidelines were also issued to all convenors and co-convenors for the effective discharge of their responsibilities. Special emphasis was laid on time-bound preparations for each programme, local-level public outreach, beneficiary participation, formation of teams of workers and regular review of the programmes.
Addressing the workshop, BJP Chandigarh Pradesh President Jatinder Pal Malhotra said that the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan is not merely a series of programmes, but a comprehensive campaign to take the BJP’s core spirit of service, dedication and responsibility towards society to every section of the public. He said that the active participation and mutual coordination of every organisational worker are essential to make the campaign effective in Chandigarh. He said that the true objective of service activities is to reach the needy sections of society, understand their problems and bring positive change to their lives through available resources. He called upon all office-bearers and workers to make the campaign successful with complete commitment.
Campaign Convenor and Pradesh General Secretary Ramveer Bhatti provided detailed information about the organisational structure of the campaign. He apprised everyone of the responsibilities of teams formed from the Pradesh level to the district, mandal and booth levels, as well as the arrangements required for the successful conduct of the 11 major programmes. He said that a clear division of responsibilities at every level, regular communication and continuous review of work are essential for the success of the campaign. He asked the office-bearers to plan programmes according to local conditions and make efforts to connect the maximum number of citizens with the campaign.
Campaign Co-convenor Shivendra Mandhotra presented the detailed action plan of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan-2026, the outline of the programmes and organisational activities through a PowerPoint presentation. He shared necessary guidelines for implementing every phase of the campaign effectively. During the presentation, information was also provided regarding the schedule of programmes, the role of workers, the public outreach strategy, publicity and communication channels, and the reporting system at various levels. He said that every service activity undertaken during the campaign should aim to convey a positive message to society and strengthen the organisation’s commitment to public service.
All office-bearers of BJP Chandigarh Pradesh, presidents and general secretaries of all districts, and team members nominated by the districts for the campaign attended the state-level workshop. All office-bearers and workers present at the workshop resolved to make the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, being conducted from September 17 to October 17, 2026, successful in Chandigarh with extensive public participation. The workers expressed confidence that the campaign would help strengthen the spirit of service, cooperation and public welfare by reaching out to various sections of society.
At the conclusion of the programme, Campaign Co-convenor Naresh Panchal expressed gratitude and thanked the Chief Guest, the Pradesh President, the state leadership, all office-bearers, district presidents, general secretaries, convenors and co-convenors of the 11 major programmes, and all the workers present. He said that the campaign would be made successful through everyone’s collective efforts, discipline and dedication.
