“During Congress Rule, I Used to Stand in Depot Queues to Buy Sugar; Congress Should Be Ashamed”: Anil Vij Hits Back at Congress’s Sugar Langar in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, August 26: Reacting to Congress leader Salman Khurshid’s statement that “One Nation, One Election” is a pipe dream, Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that “One Nation, One Election is a very good idea.” He said that today, elections are being held almost throughout the year, and the country’s entire attention shifts away from other important issues and becomes confined to election slogans, rallies and speeches. This, he said, hampers the country’s progress and leaves little attention for thinking about other issues.
Vij said that “One Nation, One Election” is a good idea because it would save money and also reduce the deployment of government personnel on election duties. He said that everyone should rise above religion, caste, language and region and support the proposal.

Energy Minister Anil Vij Hits Back at MP Owaisi, Says Court Verdicts Must Be Accepted

The Allahabad High Court has ruled that hijab cannot be worn in schools, following which MP Asaduddin Owaisi described the decision as an attack on Islam. Responding to this, Energy Minister Anil Vij said that “Owaisi ji opposes everything without thinking. This is a court verdict, and everyone should accept the court’s decision. If everyone starts interpreting court verdicts according to their own individual understanding, law and order in the country will not be able to function properly.”

“Owaisi Should Read First Before Speaking on Sanatan; Calling the Entire Manusmriti Wrong Is an Insult to Sanatan”: Anil Vij

Reacting to MP Asaduddin Owaisi’s statement that the RSS and BJP wanted the Manusmriti instead of the Constitution drafted by Ambedkar, Energy Minister Anil Vij strongly criticized him. Vij said, “MP Asaduddin Owaisi makes provocative statements. He wakes up in the morning and goes to one platform or another to oppose our Sanatan culture.” He said that there may be some things in the Manusmriti that are not appropriate, but many other aspects are worthy of consideration, including discussions on how governance should function, what qualities a king should possess and how taxes should be imposed. Minister Vij said, “Owaisi should first read it and then point out which particular line is wrong. To dismiss the entire Manusmriti as wrong is an insult to Sanatan.”

“A Country That Shelters Terrorists Should Not Question the RSS”: Anil Vij

Reacting sharply to New York Mayor Mamdani’s opposition to a proposed programme involving RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, Energy Minister Anil Vij said, “That country claims to be the world’s greatest democracy, yet it provides shelter to terrorists. To oppose the world’s largest democratic nationalist organization, an organization that functions on the basis of nationalism, is essentially to oppose one’s own principles and policies.”

“Freedom of Clothing Must Go Hand in Hand with Respect for Religion and Tradition”: Vij Takes Dig at Rahul Gandhi

Actress Kriti Sanon was reportedly trolled over her attire, after which Congress leader Rahul Gandhi supported her statement. Commenting on the issue, Energy Minister Anil Vij said that women in India have the freedom to choose what they wear, but they should also respect their religion and traditions. He said that Raksha Bandhan is a festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters, and Indian women understand what is appropriate to wear on such an occasion. Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, Minister Vij said, “He is a Parsi; what does he know about India’s religion, culture and traditions?”

“During Congress Rule, I Used to Stand in Depot Queues to Buy Sugar; Congress Should Be Ashamed”: Vij

Reacting to the Congress party’s decision to organize a sugar distribution camp, or “langar,” in Chandigarh over rising sugar prices, Energy Minister Anil Vij said that the central government has taken cognizance of the difficulties related to sugar prices and has imported a large quantity of sugar from abroad. He said that sugar prices would normalize soon. Taking a swipe at the Congress, Minister Vij said, “Congress should be ashamed. During their rule, sugar used to be sold through depots, and consumers had to stand in queues to buy it.” He added, “I myself used to stand in line to buy sugar for my own household. That was the situation during Congress rule, but they do not seem to remember the condition of their own government.”
