Chandigarh, August 16, 2026-Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, organised a Prabhaat Pheri under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign on Sunday, August 16, 2026, to celebrate the spirit of patriotism and commemorate the nation’s pride.
The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members and staff.
The Prabhat Pheri procession was led from the front by the the Institute director, Prof. Rajesh Kumar Bhatia, the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Puneet Chawla, the Registrar, Prof. Shobhana Dhiman, and the Associate Deans of Student Affairs (ADSA).
The Prabhat Pheri commenced with an assembly at 6:30 AM at the Administrative Building area, followed by a procession at 7:00 AM towards the Centenary Hall at the PEC campus.
Carrying the tricolors aloft, the participants, vociferously chanted the Vande Mataram and other patriotic slogans and the patriotic songs – creating an enthusiastic and vibrant atmosphere – driven by the collective spirit of Unity and National Pride!
The event saw an overwhelming participation by the NCC, NSS students and by all other representatives of various student clubs and societies'.
The Pra'bhat Pheri concluded at the Centenary Hall, reaffirming the shared commitment of the PEC community towards Unity, Patriotism and Pride in the Nation.
The initiative served as a meaningful extension of the Independence Day celebrations and contributed towards making the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign – a memorable community endeavour!
