Chandigarh, August 12: Inner Wheel Club Chandigarh City Beautiful organised a special programme focused on health awareness, self-confidence and environmental conservation on Wednesday at the Smt. Sikandra Devi Multimedia Hall of Maharishi Dayanand Public School, Daria, Chandigarh. District 308 Chairman Kiran Jain attended the programme as the Chief Guest and was warmly welcomed by the school.
The programme was organised under the leadership of President Monica Gupta and Anita Midha. The objective was to motivate women and students to adopt a healthy lifestyle, remain conscious of their health and play an active role in environmental conservation.
. Thereafter, Dr. Soma delivered an inspiring talk on “Feel Comfortable and Stay Confident.” She highlighted self-confidence as an important aspect of personality development and encouraged the participants to remain comfortable, positive and confident about themselves.
A special attraction of the programme was the ‘Panch Ratan’ Seed Ball Project. Sarvani Datta explained to the participants, in a simple and creative manner, how to prepare seed balls. The initiative was described as a meaningful step towards environmental conservation and a greener future. The participants enthusiastically took part in the activity.
Chief Guest Kiran Jain, District 308 Chairman, appreciated the club’s social and environmental initiatives and said that positive change in society is possible only when issues such as health, education, environment and service are connected with public participation. She called upon all participants to contribute towards building a healthy and aware society.
President Monica Gupta said that awareness about health and the environment is one of the greatest needs of the present time. During the programme, school bags and uniforms were also distributed among the students.
President Monica Gupta, Secretary Kulwinder Kaur, Vice President Monica Arya and Treasurer Reenu made special contributions towards the successful organisation of the programme. Club members Virender Kaur, Meenu Kaushal, Veena Dhir and Satinder Kaur were also present on the occasion.
At the conclusion of the programme, the school’s Vice Principal, Dr. Anju Modgil, expressed gratitude to all the guests and organisers for their participation and support.
