Chandigarh, August 12:“Youth are not merely the future of the country; they are the present force that will shape India’s future. With education, skills, innovation, entrepreneurship and responsible citizenship, the youth can become the strongest drivers of nation-building,” said Sardar Kewal Singh Dhillon, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Punjab, while addressing the youth at an International Youth Day programme at the party headquarters in Chandigarh.

Emphasising the importance of education and skill development, Dhillon said that education provides knowledge, while practical skills empower young people to succeed in real life. He stressed the need to encourage the youth to move from being job seekers to job creators through entrepreneurship, startups, innovation and self-employment.

Flanked by State Secretary Rakesh Sharma, Dhillon said that in the digital age, technology and social media must be used responsibly for education, innovation, networking and positive social change. He called upon the youth to actively participate in social and public life and develop a problem-solving approach towards challenges around them.

He also urged young people to remain resilient in the face of failure, describing setbacks as opportunities to learn, improve and move forward with greater determination.

“Think globally, but act locally. Every young person must have a clear vision for personal growth, career and social contribution,” Dhillon said, adding that every youth can contribute to nation-building through education, innovation, service, good governance and responsible citizenship.

The BJP Punjab President said that India’s journey towards a developed nation would be strengthened when its youth combine ambition with responsibility and transform their ideas into action.
