Chandigarh, July 24:- The Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today carried out a comprehensive enforcement drive against encroachments and unauthorized vending across various parts of the city. During a special operation in Manimajra Sector 13, the Enforcement Wing impounded 11 illegally parked vehicles found obstructing public spaces and violating municipal regulations.

Later in the evening, enforcement teams conducted a coordinated drive against illegal vendors in Sectors 22, 26, 20, 29, PGI near Gate, Nayagaon Barrier and Industrial Area Phase-I. The operation was carried out smoothly, ensuring free movement of pedestrians and traffic while reclaiming public spaces from unauthorized occupation.

A total of 78 challans were issued during the day's enforcement action. The Municipal Corporation reiterated its commitment to maintaining civic discipline and appealed to citizens, vendors and vehicle owners to comply with municipal rules and cooperate in keeping Chandigarh clean, orderly and obstruction-free.
