Chandigarh04.07.26- : The Library of Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector-26 successfully organised an Online International Seminar on the theme “Library Management Practices: Then and Now” via Google Meet and live streaming on YouTube.
The Technical Sessions were delivered by Dr. Priyanwada Wanigasooriya, Head, Department of Library and Information Science, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, Dr. Venkata Rao Pokuri, Librarian and Head, Central Library, Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal and Dr Preeti Sharda, Librarian, Government College of Commerce and Business Administration, Chandigarh.
The seminar witnessed enthusiastic participation of more than 250 librarians, academicians, researchers faculty members and students from universities, colleges, and schools across India and abroad. The program provided an international platform for deliberations on emerging trends in library management knowledge organization, digital transformation, and the evolving role of library, professionals.
The interactive question-and-answer sessions following each lecture enabled participants to engage directly with the resource persons, making the seminar highly informative and enriching.
