Chandigarh, June 4:- Continuing its sustained campaign against encroachments and unauthorized vending across the city, the Enforcement Wing of Municipal Corporation Chandigarh today carried out a series of special drives in various parts of Chandigarh.
As part of the ongoing action to reclaim public spaces, the enforcement team once again conducted a drive at the Fun Republic parking area in Manimajra, Sector 13. During the operation, six illegally parked vehicles were impounded and the parking area was completely cleared to ensure smooth movement of visitors and better utilization of the public parking facility.
Simultaneously, dedicated enforcement teams carried out anti-encroachment and anti-vending drives in Sectors 40, 22, 46 and 45, besides Industrial Area Phase-I and Phase-II. During the operations, illegal vendors occupying public spaces without authorization were removed and encroachments obstructing pedestrian and vehicular movement were cleared.
The Corporation issued a total of 63 challans during today's enforcement activities for various violations of municipal regulations. The drives were conducted to maintain public order, ensure unobstructed movement on roads and footpaths, and safeguard civic amenities for residents.
