Three persons arrested in Arms Act
A Case FIR No. 33 U/S 25-27-54-59 Arms Act, 125, 324(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 19 Chandigarh against unknown person who fired one round in air near # 39 Sector-20, Chandigarh on 02-06-2026 none injured. During the investigation accused jai kishan R/o # 1654 Sector-30, Chandigarh and one juvenile were arrested. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Chandigarh Police arrested Prashant Kumar R/o # 2233 near Bhole Nath Mandir, DBC, Sector-25/D, Chandigarh who was apprehended from near Bus Stop Mount View Hotel Sector-10, Chandigarh on dated 02-06-2026 and recovered one desi katta along with two live cartridges from his possession. A case FIR No. 57 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered in Police Station Sector 03 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Three persons arrested in Robbery Case
A case FIR No. 89 U/S 309(4), 3(5) BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 31 Chandigarh on the complaint of Jitender Singh R/o #278 Vikash Nagar Mouli Jagran Chandigarh against 3 unknown person on silver Activa No. Ch-01-Ch-9553 sped away after snatched complainant purse containing Rs 3200/-, Aadhar card and pan card copy on knife point from Guru Ravidas Gurudwara Hallo Majra, Chandigarh on dated 01-06-2026. During the investigation Vishal R/O # 1003 Phase 1 Ramdarbar Chandigarh, Vinit R/o # 4006 Sector 25Chandigarh and Abhi /o # Indra Awas Colony Ramdarbar Phase 1 Chandigarh were arrested. a case FIR No. 78 U/S 318(4), 319(2), & 61(2) BNS has been registered in Police Station Cyber Crime Sector-17 Chandigarh on the complaint of lady R/o # Sector-22/C, Chandigarh against unknown person who cheated complainant for Rs 98,900/- by sent a link to the complainant to download Malicious Apk file and defrauded the complainant. Investigation of this case is in progress.
Theft
A case FIR No. 61 U/S 305(A), 331(4) has been registered in Police Station Sarangpur Chandigarh on the complaint of lady # R/o Ews Colony , Dhanas, Chandigarh against unknown person who stole away complainant gold and silver Jewellery along with cash Rs 4,000/- from her residence after broken the lock of her house on the night intervening dated 21/22-05-2026. A case FIR No.78 U/S 281, 125/A BNS has been registered in Police Station Sector 34 Chandigarh on the complaint of Sunil R/o # 659, Dera Sahib, Mani Majra, Chandigarh against unknown driver of Volvo Bus No. AR-20-B-0946 who sped away after hitting complainant car no. HR-03-0601 near 33/45 L/Pt on 01-06-2026. Victim sustained injuries and was admitted to GMCH-32 Chandigarh. Investigation of this case is in progress.
