He said that the government’s objective is to modernize the public transport system in the state and make it safer, environment-friendly, and more convenient for passengers.

Sh. Vij was responding to questions from media personnel here in Chandigarh today.

He informed that all buses of the Transport Department will be equipped with an advanced tracking system, enabling real-time monitoring of buses. In addition, digital display boards, similar to those at airports, will be installed at bus stands so that passengers can receive accurate information regarding bus arrivals and departures in a timely manner.

Asia’s largest 1857 Martyrs Memorial built in Ambala Cantonment; PM Modi to inaugurate soon: Energy Minister Anil Vij

National memorial dedicated to the unsung heroes of 1857 will inspire patriotism: Anil Vij

Chandigarh, May 12 – Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that he is fully confident that the “Azadi ki Pehali Ladai ka Shaheed Smarak,” built in Ambala Cantonment and regarded as the largest of its kind in Asia, will soon be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, as it is not just a memorial for Haryana but a national monument dedicated to the glorious history of the entire nation.

Sh. Vij was responding to questions from media persons here in Chandigarh today.

He said that, to the best of his knowledge, there is no other memorial in the country where the events and struggles associated with the First War of Independence of 1857 have been presented in such a comprehensive and modern manner. He explained that historical scenes from the struggles against British rule in Ambala, Meerut, Delhi, Jhansi, Agra and other parts of the country have been recreated using modern technology so that future generations can understand that India’s freedom struggle had already begun in 1857.

Sh. Vij said that history has often focused more on the later phase of the freedom movement associated with the Congress, whereas the Congress itself was established in 1885. He pointed out that 28 years before the formation of the Congress, a widespread and armed uprising against British rule had already erupted across the country, in which thousands of soldiers, farmers and citizens sacrificed their lives. He said many brave patriots were tied to trees and shot dead, yet their sacrifices never received the recognition they truly deserved in history.

The Energy Minister said that to pay true tribute to these “unsung heroes” and to correct this historical injustice, Asia’s largest Martyrs Memorial has been constructed over 22 acres in Ambala Cantonment. He added that a special “Tribute Gallery” has also been created within the memorial complex where people will be able to pay homage to those immortal martyrs who sacrificed everything for India’s freedom.

Sh. Vij said that this memorial is not merely a structure of bricks and stones, but a living symbol of patriotism, sacrifice and India’s glorious history, which will continue to inspire future generations with the spirit of nationalism and devotion to the country.

Prime Minister Modi’s Appeal Amid Middle East Crisis Is in National Interest: Energy Minister Anil Vij

Citizens Should Use Oil, Gas, and Gold Judiciously: Anil Vij

People Have Understood That BJP Represents Development and Good Governance: Anil Vij

Constitution Gives Every Youth the Right to Employment Across the Country, Opposition Is Misleading People: Vij

Chandigarh, May 12 – Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Sh. Anil Vij said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has appealed to the people of the country, in the national interest, to use imported goods prudently and wisely in view of the current international situation and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Sh. Vij was responding to questions from media personnel here in Chandigarh today.

He said that nearly 30 percent of India’s petroleum imports come from Middle Eastern countries through the Strait of Hormuz. The ongoing war and tensions in the Middle East are affecting the global supply chain. He clarified that India has no role in this conflict, but its international repercussions are impacting the country as well.

Sh. Vij stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as the leader of the nation, is proactively making citizens aware of possible challenges so that the country can deal with them wisely and responsibly. He said the Prime Minister has appealed to people to exercise restraint in the use of imported commodities such as oil, gas, and gold, as these involve a significant outflow of foreign exchange.

Responding to a question regarding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remarks on the Prime Minister’s appeal, Sh. Vij took a jibe at him, saying that the Prime Minister had also advised limiting foreign travel, and perhaps that is why Rahul Gandhi appears most disturbed. He added that whenever elections are held in the country or a crisis arises, Rahul Gandhi is often seen travelling abroad.

Reacting to questions raised by the opposition regarding the recruitment of Assistant Professors, Sh. Vij said that the Constitution grants every citizen the right to appear for recruitment examinations and seek employment in any state of the country. He said there is no law stating that only local youth are eligible for jobs in a particular state, and added that the opposition should understand the true spirit of the Constitution.

On the results of the municipal elections, Sh. Vij said that the Bharatiya Janata Party continues to win the trust of the people because citizens now recognize which party delivers development and governance. He said the BJP is currently governing in 22 states across the country and will continue to emerge victorious in future elections as well.

He further stated that people now clearly understand that the Bharatiya Janata Party is the only political party that prioritizes development, good governance, and national interest. While other parties make promises and announcements, BJP works on the ground and delivers results. This is why the party is receiving public support even in the most challenging regions. Sh. Vij added that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is rapidly progressing towards self-reliance, development, and global recognition, and this growing confidence is further strengthening people’s faith in the BJP.
