Three arrested in Snatching
A case FIR No. 43 u/s 309, 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station IT Park, Chandigarh on the complaint of Ravinder Kumar S/o Umrao Ram R/o #616 Shastri Nagar, Mauli Majra, Chandigarh, against three unknown persons, who snatched the complainant’s purse containing ₹3000/-, voter ID card and Aadhaar card near Sheetla Mata Mandir on 29-04-2026 at about 11:15 PM and fled from the spot. During investigation, the accused persons have been arrested and are in police lockup. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Two arrested in Robbery
A case FIR No. 73 u/s 311, 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sanjay Thakur S/o Narayan Singh Thakur R/o #115 Butrela, Sector-41, Chandigarh, against two unknown persons riding a grey Splendor motorcycle, who snatched the complainant’s purse containing ₹5350/-, debit card, photographs and documents on knife point from Plot No. 29/4, Industrial Area Phase-2 on 30-04-2026. During investigation two persons were arrested in the said case. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Theft
A case FIR No. 31 u/s 305 BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-19, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rameshwar Dass, J.E., working in SDO Commercial, S/D No. 3, Sector-18, Chandigarh, against an unknown person, who stole cable (approximately 265 meters) from the office on 30-04-2026. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Quarrel / Assault
A case FIR No. 46 u/s 115(2), 126(2), 351(2), 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Industrial Area, Chandigarh on the complaint of Charanjot Singh S/o Jagjeet Singh R/o #664 Phase-1, Sector-55, Mohali (PB), against three unknown persons, who threatened and assaulted the complainant on 26-04-2026 between 01:00 AM to 01:30 AM. The accused grabbed him by the neck and hit him on the back of the head. The complainant sustained injuries and was admitted to hospital. Investigation of the case is in progress.
Accident
A case FIR No. 70 u/s 281, 106(1) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Paawan S/o Rashpal Kumar R/o #226-A Urban Vatika, Sunny Enclave, Zirakpur (PB), against Saurav S/o Arun Kumar R/o #932 Village Daria, Chandigarh, rider of Royal Enfield motorcycle No. CH01-DC-7490, who hit two pedestrian girls near Sector-31 & Industrial Area Phase-2 light point on 29-04-2026 at about 11:05 PM. The victims and motorcyclist sustained injuries and were admitted to GMSH-32. Investigation of the case is in progress.
A case FIR No. 72 u/s 281, 125(A), 125(B) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sadhan Jain R/o #3472/A Sector-31, Chandigarh, against an unknown rider of Royal Enfield Bullet No. CH01-CZ-6382, who hit the complainant near Japanese Garden parking, Sector-31 and fled from the spot. The victim sustained injuries and was admitted to 3BRD Medical Centre and later referred to Command Hospital, Chandimandir. Investigation of the case is in progress.
