Chandigarh, April 4:- Member of Parliament Sh. Manish Tewari today inaugurated key development works under the MPLADS scheme in Sector 56, in the presence of area Councillor Sh. Manaur, officials of the Municipal Corporation, and local residents.

The inaugurated works include the laying of a sewerage pipeline for House Nos. 6721–6732 (EWS small flats) and the construction and raising of water-meter chambers for 320 EWS flats (House Nos. 6701–6780).

The project was sanctioned at a cost of ₹13.63 lakh, with a final expenditure of ₹12.30 lakh. These initiatives are aimed at strengthening sanitation infrastructure and preventing contamination of water supply lines due to sewerage leakage.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Manish Tewari emphasized the importance of improving basic civic amenities to enhance the quality of life for residents. He reiterated his commitment to supporting development projects that address essential public needs.

Area Councillor Sh. Manaur expressed gratitude to the Member of Parliament for prioritizing the concerns of the residents. He noted that the completion of these works has effectively resolved long-standing issues related to sanitation and water management in the area.

Officials from the Municipal Corporation Public Health Department (MCPH) and a large number of residents were present during the inauguration ceremony.
