MAHENDERGARH,30.03.26-In a significant step towards strengthening sports infrastructure, the Central University of Haryana, Mahendragarh, will inaugurate a Synthetic Athletics Track (400 meters, 08 lanes) today. Hon’ble Member of Parliament and Former Union Minister, Government of India, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The modern synthetic athletics track has been developed under the Khelo India Scheme and is expected to play a crucial role in nurturing sports talent and preparing athletes for national-level competitions. The facility will provide students with training opportunities aligned with international standards and further enhance sports activities on campus.
According to the university administration, the state-of-the-art track will benefit not only university students but also young athletes from the surrounding region. This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to promoting sports culture and ensuring holistic development of students.

After inaugurating the track, Mr. Anurag Thakur will deliver a special lecture at the university's Vande Mataram Auditorium, where the topic of discussion will be the participation of youth in building a 'Developed India' (Viksit Bharat).

The program will be presided over by the University Vice-Chancellor, Professor Tankeshwar Kumar.Notably, the Central University of Haryana has consistently prioritized sports and co-curricular activities alongside academic excellence. The inauguration of the synthetic athletics track marks an important milestone in the university’s sports development efforts.
