CHANDIGARH POLICE BRIEF OF CASES DATED-29.03.2026
One arrested under Excise Act
A case FIR No. 59 u/s 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh on the complaint of ASI Ramesh (3075/CP). He reported that Rajesh Kumar S/o Girdhari Lal R/o #58/A, Sunder Nagar Part-2, Mauli Jagran, Chandigarh (age 44 years) was apprehended from backside Tribune Colony, Raipur Khurdon 28-03-2026 at about 10:15 PM, and 58 quarters of country-made wine (Empire No.1 Mota Santra) were recovered from his possession. The accused was arrested and later bailed out. Investigation of the case is in progress.
One arrested under Arms Act
A case FIR No. 52 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Maloya, Chandigarh on the complaint of HC Ajay Kumar (1470/CP). He reported that Harpreet Singh @ Preet S/o Major Singh R/o Village Sherpur, PS-Dharmpur, District Moga, Punjab (age 19 years) was apprehended near Sports Complex, Sector-38 West, Chandigarh on 27-03-2026 at about 11:15 PM, and one ‘kamanidar’ knife was recovered from his possession. The accused has been arrested and investigationofthecaseisinprogress.
