Snatching Case

A case FIR No. 39 u/s 304(2) and 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sarangpur, Chandigarh on the complaint of Rakesh Kumar SR/o near Pump House, PGI Sector-12, Chandigarh, age 47 years. He alleged that two unknown persons snatched ₹5,000 cash and his Aadhaar card near Khuda Lahora wine shop on 24-03-2026 at about 2:30 PM. Later, one accused Mukesh S/o Ramesh Singh R/o #197/2, Khuda Lahora, age 33 yearswas arrested and is in police lock-up.

Arms Act Case

A case FIR No. 24 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-03, Chandigarh on the complaint of Kasmiri Lal R/o #403/E, Address Society, New Chandigarh, Mohali (Punjab). He alleged that Sahibjit Singh S/o Jaswinder Singh R/o Village Raini Majra, SAS Nagar (Punjab), age 20 years was apprehended in front of DAV College, Sector-10, Chandigarh on 25-03-2026 at about 4:00 PM, and two live cartridges were recovered from his possession. The accused is in police lock-up.

A case FIR No. 48 u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Sector-31, Chandigarh against Deepak @ Bhukha R/o #232, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh, age 23 years. The accused was apprehended near open ground close to CRPF wall, Hallo Majra on 25-03-2026, and one kamanidar knife was recovered from his possession. The accused is in police lock-up.

Theft

A case FIR No. 46 u/s 305 and 3(5) BNS has been registered at Police Station Sector-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of Sandeep Kashyap, Manager of Sunder Jewellers, SCO No. 92 & 93, Sector-35, Chandigarh. He alleged that one unknown man and a woman stole a gold set along with its packaging box from the shop on 20-03-2026 at about 12:31 PM. No arrest has been made so far.
