Chandigarh, January 31:-In a firm move to ensure transparency, accountability and commuter convenience in the city’s paid parking system, Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, has directed all Executive Engineers (B&R), Sub-Divisional Engineers (SDEs) and Junior Engineers (JEs) to conduct regular field visits to paid parking sites falling under their respective jurisdictions.
The directive aims to closely monitor the supervision, functioning and conduct of parking attendants, ensuring that commuters are provided hassle-free and transparent parking services in line with established norms.
During a comprehensive review of the paid parking system across the city, the Commissioner also assessed the on-ground implementation of the recently launched “MC One Pass” parking system.
