Chandigarh, 26 January 2026: The school marked the 77th Republic Day of India with immense fervour and patriotic zeal.
The event was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr Anirudh Tewari IAS, Director General, MGSIPA & Chairman, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra. Also present on the occasion was Shri Madhukar Malhotra, Honorary Secretary, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chandigarh Kendra; Mr. Kamal Kishore Yadav IAS, Secretary, Industry and Commerce; Mrs Vineeta Arora, Director Education cum Senior Principal; Mrs Inderpreet Kaur, Principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh; Mrs Kunika Sharma, Principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya Junior Wing; Mrs Suparna Bansal, Vice Principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya, Chandigarh; Mrs Sneha Wadhwa, Vice Principal, Bhavan Vidyalaya, New Chandigarh, other distinguished dignitaries, and parents.
The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Dr Anirudh Tewari, followed by the National Anthem. The school choir sang a soulful prayer, seeking the Almighty’s blessings with hope and reverence. The grounds then echoed with the rhythmic precision of the March Past, setting a disciplined tone for the proceedings.
The Annual Investiture Ceremony was conducted wherein the outgoing Student Council, led by the Head Boy, Ekamdeep Singh Arora, and Head Girl, Ayera Kathuria, formally relinquished their charge. In a symbolic transition, the Senior Principal, Mrs Vineeta Arora, handed the school flag to the newly appointed School Captains, Ishaan Goel and Khwahish Yadav. This was followed by an Oath Taking ceremony, where the new leaders pledged their commitment and allegiance to the institution.
The esteemed Chief Guest, Dr Anirudh Tewari, unveiled the School Yearbook 2025, a comprehensive chronicle of the vast array of activities and achievements of the students. Following the release, he addressed the gathering, and commended the achievers and their families for their dedication. His motivational words encouraged the students to honour the foundation laid by the school as they move forward in life.
