Ludhiana, 31 December 2025-Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Research Centre on Camel (ICAR-NRCC), Bikaner to promote and accelerate the progress of research and training in various disciplines of animal husbandry and veterinary sciences. The MoU was signed by Dr. P.S. Brar, Director of Research and Dr. Anil Kumar Punia, Director, ICAR–NRCC, Bikaner in the presence of Dr. J.P.S. Gill, Vice Chancellor of the University.

Dr. J.P.S. Gill congratulated both the teams and stated that this MoU is an excellent example of academia partnership to address practical challenges in animal health and production through scientific innovation and endeavours. Dr. Anil Kumar Punia informed that this institute is committed to promote camel conservation, breeding, and propagation across the country and is keen to strengthen research and technical collaboration with the University. This occasion was graced by Deans, Directors, scientists of the University and officials from ICAR-NRCC.

This MoU will be implemented through development of work plans to be developed jointly, and both the institutes have agreed to promote cooperation in the field by exchange of scientists, students and technologists, and by development and implementation of collaborative research projects.
