Book Dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Presented to Chief Secretary, UT Chandigarh

Chandigarh, 19 November 2025:To commemorate the significance of the 350th martyrdom year of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib, a religious heritage book titled “Spiritual Journey of Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib” was today presented to Mr. H. Rajesh Prasad, IAS, Chief Secretary, UT Chandigarh. The book was presented by Shri Harpreet Sandhu, State Information Commissioner, Punjab, who has co-authored the publication along with Dr. B. S. Batth and Shri Sandeep S. Dhaliwal, State Information Commissioners, Punjab.

The Chief Secretary, UT Chandigarh, appreciated the publication, acknowledging it as a meaningful and commendable work .

The Chandigarh Administration extends warm greetings to all residents. As part of our collective responsibility towards a sustainable and self-reliant energy future, we invite you to participate in the “PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana” — an initiative of the Government of India aimed at promoting rooftop solar installations in every household across the country.
Under this scheme, a subsidy of up to ₹78,000 is being provided by the Government of India for the installation of residential rooftop solar systems. This initiative empowers households to generate their own electricity, reduce monthly power bills, and contribute to a cleaner environment.

* Free Electricity up to 300 units per month under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana.

* Central Financial Assistance (CFA) up to ₹78,000/- directly credited to beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

* Minimal investment options available through empanelled vendors with net-metering facility.

* Free Power Generation: For more than 20 years after payback.

* Reduction in carbon footprint and contribution towards India’s clean energy goals.

Child Safety Week Observed Across Chandigarh from 14th – 20th November 2025

To strengthen awareness on Child Safety and well-being, Child Safety Week is being observed across Chandigarh from 14th to 20th November. The week-long initiative focuses on empowering children and adolescents with knowledge on bullying, cyber safety, emotional well-being, and other essential health-related issues.
