MAHENDERGARH, 96.11.25-The Training and Placement Cell of Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh, inaugurated a two-day workshop on Thursday on 'Career Preparedness: Employability Skills Enhancement.' The objective of the workshop is to equip students with essential professional skills and prepare them for future career opportunities.
Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, Vice Chancellor of the University graced the inaugural session as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasized that training and skill development play a vital role in enhancing students’ employability. Highlighting the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence and creativity in the job market, the Vice Chancellor advised students to use technology wisely while remaining mindful of its possible challenges.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Alka Madan, a distinguished education leader with extensive experience in corporate relations, career services, and academic leadership. Dr. Madan has previously served in key leadership roles at Pearl Academy, Bennett University, and UPES, contributing significantly to employability training and career development initiatives.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with over 150 students from various departments participating enthusiastically, reflecting their keen interest in career growth and professional development.
During the sessions, Dr. Alka Madan engaged students through practical demonstrations, interactive discussions, and personalized feedback. She provided valuable insights on resume writing, interview techniques, and professional presentation, making the sessions highly informative and impactful.
Dr. Divya, Director, Training & Placement cell, highlighted the necessity of employability-focused programmes and emphasized their role in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations. Prof. Vikas Garg played a vital role in the execution of the workshop.
The workshop was efficiently managed by Dr. Amit Kumar, Mr. Tarun Kumar, and Dr. Suyash Mishra, Deputy Directors, who oversaw various aspects of the event. The inaugural session was coordinated by Dr. Snehsata, Deputy Director, ensuring smooth organization and active student participation throughout the programme.
