CHANDIGARH, 23.06.25-The *11th International Yoga Day* was celebrated with great enthusiasm at *Post Graduate Government College, Sector-11, Chandigarh (PGGC-11)* on *21st June 2025*. The college campus was filled with a spirit of mindfulness and wellness as students, faculty, and staff actively participated in the day’s events.
On this special occasion, *Prof. J.K. Sehgal, Principal of the College, extended a warm floral welcome to the **Chief Guest, **Major General J.S. Cheema*, Additional Director General (ADG) of the NCC Directorate for Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, and Chandigarh (PHHP\&C).
The event featured the practice of the *Common Yoga Protocol, conducted under the expert guidance of **Ms. Sheenam Jain (IIS), Assistant Director, CBC. The offline session witnessed enthusiastic participation from **over 700 individuals*, including students, teaching, and non-teaching staff.
To ensure wider reach and inclusivity, a simultaneous *online yoga session* was also organized for participants unable to join in person. This session was led by *Mr. Roshan Lal*, an experienced Yoga Instructor.
Participants embraced yoga not only as a physical discipline but also as a holistic path to health and inner peace. The celebration reflected the growing recognition of yoga’s role in promoting mental and physical well-being.
The college acknowledged the immense contribution of *Yogi Baba Ramdev* in popularizing yoga across the nation and beyond — *salutations to his inspiring work*.
