MAHENDERGARH, 12.06.25-The Department of Law at the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendergarh has inaugurated an insightful lecture series titled "Vimarsh," aimed at engaging students and scholars in critical discussions on contemporary legal and societal issues. The series will focus on themes such as youth empowerment, women’s rights, Indianisation of the legal system, social welfare, constitutional democracy, and more.

The first lecture was delivered by Dr. Amit Kumar, former Registrar of the National Law University, Sonepat, who spoke extensively on the Indianisation of India’s legal system. He provided an in-depth analysis of the new criminal laws and their significance in the evolving legal landscape of "Bharat." His discourse highlighted the need for a justice system rooted in Indian ethos while adapting to modern challenges.

Dr. Pardeep Singh, Head and Dean of the School of Law, emphasized the department’s commitment to academic excellence under the dynamic leadership of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor. Addressing the gathering, he stated that students are the backbone of any institution, and with the final-year batch poised to enter the legal profession, the "Vimarsh" series was conceptualized to stimulate new legal knowledge and critical thinking. He extended his best wishes to the graduating students for their future careers.

On this occasion, Dr. Singh also launched a Digital admission pamphlets for the 2025-26 academic session, announcing 60 seats for LL.B and 30 seats for LL.M programs. Aspiring candidates who have appeared for CUET-2025 can register until June 23, 2025.

Looking ahead, Dr. Singh revealed that the "Vimarsh" series will continue with more expert lectures, and the department plans to engage with stakeholders in Mahendergarh district to discuss socio-legal issues, enhancing community-institution collaboration. He expressed gratitude to the university administration and faculty members for their unwavering support in fostering legal education and research at Department.
