MAHENDERGARH, 12.06.25-The Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh has commenced the admission process for three new distance education programmes under Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode for the July 2025 session. The programmes offered include M.A. Journalism and Mass Communication, M.A. Hindi, and M.Com.
The admission poster was launched on Thursday by Vice Chancellor Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar. These programmes are approved by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB) of the University Grants Commission (UGC).Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar said that the University is offering new avenues of higher education through these courses, especially benefiting youth in South Haryana and adjoining regions of Rajasthan. He highlighted that these programmes are designed in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and will follow a semester system. Prof. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dr. Vikas Kumar, Finance Officer were also present on this occasion.
Prof. Singara Singh, Director, Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) said that the self-learning materials for these programmes have been developed by CUH faculty and experts from reputed institutions. These programmes are industry-oriented, follow the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), and are equivalent to regular degrees. He also added that SC/ST students are eligible for fee concessions.
