SHIMLA,30.5.2025-MP Ajay Maken while addressing a function 'Jai Hind Sabha' organised at hotel Peterhoff here today to honour the brave hearts of Himachal Pradesh, who sacrificed their lives for the Nation and other gallantry Award winners, said that the 'Jai Hind Sabha' events would be held at 15 selected locations across the country by the Congress party.

He said that since Independence, the country has always given befitting reply to Pakistan every time during its conflict with India. He noted that several surgical strikes were carried in the years 2008, 2011, 2013 and 2014 and Pakistan was taught a lesson, the credit for which should go to the Indian armed forces, but the Congress never politicized it. He said that it is always the brave soldiers who sacrifice their lives for the Nation but the Congress never boasted of it or took credit. Shri Maken said that after the Pahalgam attack, the Congress party fully supported the Union government and said that those who killed innocent people, should not be spared. He said that all the countries of the world condemned the Pahalgam attack, but no one pointed Pakistan for the heinous crime. Is this not a failure of foreign policy, he questioned. In 1971, no country other than America stood with Pakistan, but today no country is condemning Pakistan.

He said, "Pakistan got a loan of 20 thousand crores, but not a single country opposed it. Pakistan will use this money against India. We have not even been able to get the US and UN to ban The Resistance Front (TRF). It is sad that not a single terrorist who killed 26 innocent people in Pahalgam has been caught till date,"he said.

The MP mentioned the Shimla Agreement and said that bilateral talks were talked about in this agreement. He said that when the Shimla Agreement was signed, the whole world acknowledged India's strength. But for the first time in 75 years, it happened that the sacrifices of the army were ignored. Why did India accept America's mediation? Trump got the ceasefire done by threatening to stop trade eight times. Today India's identity and universality have become less important than trade. He asked, "Who are the people being tried to benefit. No one knows on what conditions the ceasefire was done, what did India get from it?"

MP Rajni Patil said that top Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge have given instructions to organize 'Jai Hind Sabha'. Through these meetings, the valor of the Indian Army is being honored. She said that after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, she visited Jammu and Kashmir and met the victim families and shared their grief. She said that the whole country stood with the army and the central government in the fight against terrorism. But the ceasefire was announced by a third country, which is unfortunate.

Meanwhile, HPCC President Pratibha Singh said that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi divided Pakistan into two parts in 1971. Pakistani soldiers surrendered in numbers. She said that we are proud of the valour and courage of the army. She said that soldiers from every district of Himachal Pradesh go to serve the country and the Congress Party has decided to organize such programs at the district level as well.
