MAHENDERGARH, 30.05.25-A Disaster Management Training Program was successfully organized at the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh on Friday in collaboration with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). The training was aimed at students, research scholars, faculty members, and non-teaching staff of the University. The program was inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar emphasized the importance of disaster management. He said that this training empowers individuals to protect their own lives and those of others during emergencies.
The event featured Assistant Commandant Ms. Saroj Rani, Sub-Inspector Mohan Kumar, and their team from the 7th Battalion of NDRF, who were thanked by the Vice-Chancellor for their valuable contribution. He noted that the training would be highly beneficial for the university community and highlighted the lifelong value of such preparedness.
The session began with a welcome address and program outline by Dr. Sumit Kumar, Deputy Chief Security Officer of the University. Ms. Saroj Rani spoke about the importance of disaster management training, followed by a detailed hands-on session conducted by Mohan Kumar, who covered response techniques for earthquakes, floods, fires, and other emergencies. On this occasion Prof. Ramesh Kumar, Prof. Payal Kanwar Chandel, Mr. Naresh Kumar, Dr. Indu Bala, Kashish Sood and Suresh Kumar were also present.
