Chandigarh, 01.05.25- : The Chandigarh Beopar Mandal (CBM) held its first executive body meeting today at Hotel Park Inn, Sector 35 under it's newly elected President Sanjiv Chadha The meeting saw overwhelming participation from new office bearers and executive members.


Key Highlights and Decisions

- *New President's Roadmap:* Sanjiv Chadha, the newly elected President, shared his vision for the next two years, highlighting the tasks accomplished since March 19.

- *Founder's Day:* Chadha announced that every 23rd March will be celebrated as Founder's Day in memory of Late Inder Lal Batra, the founder President of CBM.

- *Meetings with Authorities:* The President shared details of meetings held with key authorities, including the Administrator, U.T. cum Governor Punjab, Commissioner M.C., DGP Chandigarh, Labour Commissioner, and Income Tax Commissioner, receiving positive responses on pending trader issues.

- *Trader Unity:* Chadha appealed to members to strengthen trader unity and focus on strengthening city markets.

- *Fee Increase:* The meeting approved an increase in annual fees from ₹2000 to ₹4000, the first hike in 14 years, and new membership fees were also increased.

- **Office Proposal:** A proposal for CBM's own office was mooted.
