Chandigarh, November 5: Haryana’s Energy, Transport, and Labour Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, today extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of the Prakash Utsav (Birth Anniversary) of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the First Sikh Guru. He said that everyone should imbibe the life philosophy and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji and spread it throughout society.
He added that through his invaluable teachings, Guru Nanak Dev Ji played a monumental role in eradicating social evils, superstitions, and discrimination. His timeless message — “Kirat Karo, Vand Chhako, Naam Japo” — means earn an honest living through hard work, share your earnings with others, and remember the Almighty always. This, Vij said, remains one of the greatest lessons and inspirations for modern society.

On this auspicious occasion, Energy Minister Sh. Anil Vij paid obeisance at Punjabi Gurudwara Sahib in Ambala and conveyed his greetings to the devotees gathered there. The Gurudwara Committee presented him with a Siropa (robe of honour) and a Kirpan (ceremonial sword) as a token of respect. Sh. Vij also humbly sat among the congregation to partake in the Guru’s Langar.

“The tradition of sitting together in a single row to share langar was started by Guru Nanak Dev Ji” – Anil Vij

In his address, the Minister said that this day is truly sacred and auspicious — the day when the world celebrates the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the First Guru of the Sikh faith. He noted that during the time of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s advent, society was deeply entangled in orthodox practices, discrimination, and falsehood. Through his divine wisdom, Guru Nanak Dev Ji awakened people to the truth and taught that such divisions were not in accordance with the true spirit of religion.
Vij emphasized that Guru Nanak Dev Ji regarded the earnings of honest labour as the purest form of livelihood. By rejecting the distinctions of caste, class, and wealth, Guru Nanak Dev Ji set an extraordinary example of social equality and unity. He said that the practice of sitting together in a single line to partake in langar (community meal) — without discrimination of caste, creed, or status, was introduced by Guru Nanak Dev Ji himself. This sacred tradition continues today as a symbol of equality, service, and humility.

“The story of Bhai Lalo and Bhai Malik Bhago still teaches us the value of truth and honest work” – Vij

The Energy Minister further recalled the story of Bhai Lalo and Bhai Malik Bhago, which exemplifies the virtues of truthfulness, honesty, and righteousness. When both invited Guru Nanak Dev Ji for a meal, the Guru chose to dine at the humble home of the poor yet hardworking Bhai Lalo, as his food was earned through honest labour. In contrast, he declined Malik Bhago’s lavish feast because it was prepared from wealth gained through exploitation and injustice. “This story,” Vij said, “remains a timeless reminder that wealth earned through honesty and hard work is the only true form of righteousness.”

“Guru Nanak Dev Ji enlightened humanity across the world with the light of wisdom” – Vij

Sh. Anil Vij said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s mission extended far beyond the borders of India. Through his extensive travels across various parts of the world, he spread the message of truth, love, and unity of mankind. He inspired people to free themselves from superstition and hypocrisy, urging them to walk the path of righteousness. His teachings, Vij said, were not limited to spirituality alone, it carried the spirit of social reform and transformation. “Guru Nanak Dev Ji taught that true devotion is expressed through one’s deeds and service, not through renunciation or idleness,” the Minister added.

“The teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji are more relevant today than ever before” – Vij

Minister Vij remarked that in today’s times — when the world faces increasing divisions, intolerance, and materialism — the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji are even more significant. He taught that the foundation of life must rest on service, truth, and selfless dedication. Vij said that following the path shown by Guru Nanak Dev Ji will help establish brotherhood, equality, and harmony in society. Sh. Vij said that the life of Guru Nanak Dev Ji is not just a spiritual beacon but also a profound symbol of humanity and service. His teachings remind us that humanity itself is the greatest religion.

Haryana Energy Minister Anil Vij reacts to Rahul Gandhi’s “Vote Theft” statement – “First, Rahul Gandhi should inform the IAEA how many bombs he has; he keeps dropping fake bombs every day.”

“Rahul Gandhi talks about dividing and breaking the nation, while we all are Indians, all Hindustanis” - Anil Vij

Chandigarh, November 5: Haryana’s Energy Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today launched a sharp attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his recent “vote theft” press conference, accusing him of spreading confusion and attempting to divide society through his statements. Sh. Vij said that “Rahul Gandhi keeps dropping fake bombs every day. I want to tell him that before making such baseless statements, he should inform the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) how many bombs he possesses and how many atom bombs, how many hydrogen bombs, and how many fake bombs. He continues to make allegations without any factual basis.”

Sh.Vij made these remarks while responding to questions from media persons today.

“Rahul Gandhi makes divisive statements, but we all are Indians” – Vij

Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s controversial statement about the Indian Army, Minister Anil Vij said that such comments are not only an insult to the Army but also an attempt to divide the nation along caste and community lines. He said that “Rahul Gandhi repeatedly makes statements that divide and weaken the country. But the truth is that we are all one, we are all Indians, we are all Hindustanis. His goal seems to be to divide people into different sections and make them clash with each other, which is extremely unfortunate, he added.”

“Modi Ji never steals votes, BJP governments are formed with integrity” – Vij

Reacting strongly to Rahul Gandhi’s claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi cannot form a government anywhere without vote theft, Anil Vij said that “Modi Ji does not indulge in vote theft. Every BJP government is formed with honesty, transparency, and public trust. By making such unsubstantiated statements, Rahul Gandhi is questioning the integrity of the nation’s democratic institutions.”

“Rahul Gandhi’s vote theft claim is just another fake bomb” – Vij

The Cabinet Minister referred to Rahul Gandhi’s recent press conference, in which Gandhi alleged that a Brazilian woman voted 22 times at 10 different polling booths in Haryana. Calling this claim completely baseless, Vij said that “Rahul Gandhi should now officially declare how many types of bombs he possesses, since he acts like the IAEA himself, constantly making empty statements. He has dropped many such ‘fake bombs’ before, and now he is doing it again. He says he showed a list, but did not clarify how many polls it referred to and these are two different things. Mistakes in voter rolls can happen, but if a woman voted multiple times, why didn’t the polling agent stop her, Sh. Vij questioned?”

“Akhilesh and Rahul Gandhi’s words and actions are poles apart” – Vij

Commenting on Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s corruption allegations against the BJP, Anil Vij said that “Akhilesh Yadav should first look at the scams during his own tenure. Everyone knows what happened during Lalu Prasad Yadav’s rule. Rahul Gandhi even brought a convicted person on stage and showcased him, this clearly shows the hypocrisy and double standards of these political parties.”
