CHANDIGARH, 10.02.26-The Department of Psychology, Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Sector 32, Chandigarh, successfully organized a seven-day Life Skills Testing Program from 2nd to 9th January 2026. The program was designed to assess key psychological factors essential for students’ personal, emotional, and social development.

Standardized psychological tools were administered to evaluate self-efficacy, anger, self-esteem, and overall well-being. The primary objective was to enhance students’ self-awareness, emotional understanding, coping skills, and recognition of personal strengths.

In addition to assessment, the program provided valuable field training to psychology students, including test administration, scoring, report writing, and report dissemination. A total of 122 students actively participated, reflecting strong interest in mental health awareness and life-skills development. The initiative proved to be a meaningful step toward strengthening students’ personal and social competencies.

The program was conducted under the able leadership of Dr. Ajay Sharma, Principal, GGDSD College, whose continuous support fosters student-centric developmental initiatives. Academic guidance was provided by Dr. Tarundeep, Head of the Department of Psychology, who emphasized the role of life skills in nurturing confident and responsible individuals. The program was efficiently coordinated and organized by Dr. Minakshi and Dr. Heena.

Participants expressed high levels of satisfaction and found the assessments insightful and beneficial. The program concluded on a positive note, receiving encouraging feedback from both students and faculty, highlighting the growing relevance of life-skills assessment in contemporary academic settings.
