CHANDIGARH, 30.08.25-: The Member of Parliament, Shri Manish Tewari, along with the GGDSD College fraternity, paid homage to Dr. Pandit Mohan Lal ji on his 26th death anniversary at the Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College in Chandigarh today. The solemn event commenced with the inauguration of the blood donation camp by Shri Manish Tewari, which witnessed over 200 units of blood being enthusiastically donated by the volunteers. Additionally, a free medical camp was organized, followed by an enlightening Pandit Mohan Lal Memorial lecture delivered by a proud alumnus of SD College, Shri Tewari

In his address, Distinguished MP said, “It is a privilege to return to my alma mater and be part of this solemn occasion and pay our respect and homage to Pandit Mohan Lal Ji, who was a true son of undivided Punjab— a visionary who lived through the World Wars, the Partition of India, and the three Partitions of Punjab. Despite such testing times, he carried no harshness in his spirit and vision. His wisdom, born of experience, was rare, and his observations about Punjab’s future have proven prophetic.”

Shri Tewari referred to Pandit Ji’s book, ‘Disintegration of Punjab,’ and observed that his writings were marked by the absence of subjective bitterness, despite his active involvement in politics. The predictions of ticking time bombs mentioned in the book have come true today. He concluded by noting that Pandit’s legacy is more than that of a visionary man but that of a rare and enlightening institution in himself. His life and teachings teach us that it is important to imbibe valuable lessons from history.

President of the GGDSD College Society, Ms. Vaishali Sharma, delivered the welcome address, stating, “Pandit Ji is remembered above all for his strength of character and the clarity and simplicity of his thought. His entire life was guided by the principle of service to humanity, which he pursued with quiet determination and humility. Honesty, integrity, and altruism were not just ideals for him but the very instruments by which he lived, and it is these enduring values that continue to inspire and guide us even today.”

Smt. Aastha Goswami, a famous Bhajan Singer from Vrindavan ushered in a sense of devotion by singing beautiful melodies and soulful bhajans .Dr Anirudh Joshi ,General Secretary, GGDSD College Society, the solemn event by recalling Pandit Ji’s inspirational leadership and dedication to serve the society.

The enthusiastic participation by volunteers at the event was highlighted by Mr Talvinder Singh Chamkara of GGDSD College, who donated his blood for the 22nd time on the occasion of Pandit Mohan Lal’s death anniversary.
